Fred is a paid technical consultant to DayStar Filters, but is not compensated for these writings nor writes on their behalf. He has been an amateur astronomer for 23 years, and is an avid solar eclipse chaser, with 7 total solar eclipses under his belt. As owner of Moonglow Technologies, LLC, Fred is author of the popular Eclipse Orchestrator software for photographing eclipses.
