The articles presented in Solar Observer are
written by our editorial team and by professional and amateur
astronomers. We also open the opportunity for our readers to submit
articles on solar astronomical topics of their choice.
We are seeking articles of the following sections:

News highlights: describe recent advance of solar astronomy.

Solar classroom: general knowledge of solar science and astrophysics.

Book and instrument reviews: review of new books, solar telescopes or accessories.

Your instruments: tell us your journey in solar astronomy and show us your gears.
- Solar observation: article for solar
observation, white light observation, narrow spectrum observation,
spectroscopy, radio astronomy, etc.

Solar
astrophotography: article for solar astrophotography by webcam, CCD,
digital camera, film camera, image processing techniques, etc.

Solar sketching: article for solar sketching.
- Solar DIY: show us your DIY works.
- Sun and culture: the sun and different traditions/cultures in the world.
- Observing report: tell us your solar observation

Organization/club news: tell us about your local clubs and activities in solar astronomy.
Tips for authors:
- Articles should accompany with title, subtitle, name and contact info of author, and references (if any).
- Articles typically range between 1 to 5 pages of A4 paper, single-spaced, figures not included.
- Use of figures or tables are strongly recommended.
For Photographers/Sketchers
If you wish to submit the images or sketch for publication, please
submit your images in TIFF or JPG file, at the highest resolution, to editor@solar-observer.com
Photography/sketch should accompany with:
- Title
- Description
- Photographer/sketcher name
- Photographer/sketcher contact info
- Date, time, and location
- Telescopes, accessories, and camera
- For photography, exposure info, included focal length, focal ratio, ISO, exposure time
